| All CIS patrol vehicles are equipped with state-of-the-art communications and information systems. While working in the field, CIS officers can submit reports online, query our CIMATRIX database for information on previous incidents and subjects, access special gang and homeland security intelligence alerts, search for wants & warrants, review criminal histories for subjects, check license plates and vin numbers for stolen vehicles, and even view CCTV cameras located at CIS protected properties via the Internet. The integrated use of technology provides CIS officers with a significant advantage when interviewing unkown subjects and in responding to field emergencies. | ||||||||||||||||||
| CIS officers are required to report a variety of events--criminal incidents, intelligence gained from informants, public interactions, etc. Complete and accurate documentation of events is critical to minimizing liability, supporting prosecution and eviction efforts, and maximizing our operational effectiveness by providing a basis for measuring the progress of CCBPI programs. | ![]() |
