The 21st CIS Toy Drive
Submitted by:  Allison Cox, Executive Assistant to the CEO

2013 marks the 21st anniversary of the CIS Toy Drive, our biggest CCBPI activity.  This event becomes more meaningful every year, as we help hundreds of children who might not otherwise receive Christmas presents. This year was particularly special because of new things we did and a very special new partnership with Toys for Tots. This year we provided toys for more than 330 kids!

As you can imagine, lots of preparation goes into an event of this caliber--none of which is possible without the generous time and resources donated by our many volunteers. The help provided by the volunteers every year is a tremendous gift; we thank them from the bottom of our hearts for all of their efforts.

This year, KKP and CIS sponsored the second annual "Wrap-A-Thon," a weeklong event where employees and their families gather to donate their time by volunteering in our workshop! Much like Santa's workshop, gifts have to be wrapped, grouped by age and gender and then assigned to kids from CIS properties.

CIS Partners with Toys for Tots, Christmas 2013
Submitted by: Michal Gregor, Manager of Accounting

This year CIS partnered with Morris Dixon Marine Detachment and Toys for Tots (Pinellas County) by donating services on December 20th and 21st. CIS provided several points assistance from crowd control, assisting with toy selections for clients, to medical assistance with the MCC. Over the two days, Toys for Tots was responsible for servicing 18,605 children by donating presents to put under their Christmas trees. Numerous members of the KKP and CIS families personally volunteered their time to support the Toys for Tots effort. During CIS's time with Toys for Tots, CIS employees and volunteers heard stories about families not having a single present to give, received warm hugs and witnessed tears of gratitude. The overall feeling of being involved in something so touching in the community was very gratifying and we thank everyone who donated their time and resources. CIS has committed to partner up with Toys for Tots next year and moving forward. Meetings for the 2014 Toy Drive start in January at the Morris F. Dixon Jr. Detachment 54 - Marine Corps League.
Not Your Average Camera Monitoring Services
CIS has expanded the range of services to include full service camera monitoring, which we now provide throughout the state of Florida!  We optimize this service by combining the use of state-of-the-art 24 hour Operations Center with unique, two-way communications technology and the expertise of our highly trained, licensed CIS Protection Officers.  CIS Camera Monitoring Officers stand constant watch over your property and immediately contact law enforcement or CIS officers in the field when suspicious or unwanted activity occurs.  Not only can our officers see what is taking place on your property, they can actually verbally communicate with individuals of interest via our two-way communications feature.  This technology results in much more than the ability to record an event, it creates the crucial opportunity for preventative interaction offering yet another layer of protection that can significantly help reduce unwanted activity and mitigate your liability.  For more information, please contact Jeff Ezell, VP of Operations, at jeff.ezell@kkpsecuritygroup.com or (407) 408-6431
