22 Years in the Making—Happy Birthday CIS!
Submitted by: Elizabeth Greer, Esq., In-House Counsel

February 12 marks CIS's 22nd anniversary.  Over the span of its lifetime, CIS has experienced tremendous growth, not just in size, but in the innovative protection services we provide and our role as a leader in the private security industry.  New and challenging projects are in the works and more await us on the horizon.  Next month, the Client Newsletter will highlight CIS's accomplishments with a special article about our evolution from a back-room home business to a front-line protection agency. Please join us in celebrating CIS's 22nd birthday!
CIS Lends a Hand to Clean Up Nuccio Area
Submitted by Sergeant Brian Morrissey, CRO, ATO, SSG, SPO

On Saturday, February 1st, Critical Intervention Services was proud to partner with community members of the Nuccio area, including the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, in cleaning up the streets. The streets of the Nuccio area were littered with beer bottles, trash, and glass. While cleaning we had numerous cars stop on the side of the road to express their thanks and gratitude for our efforts in cleaning up their community. It was a true show of the CIS CCBPI methodology and the commitment we have for the communities we service. Chief Hector Rodriguez, Caption Shawn Fogarty, Sergeant Arthur Schulz and I all helped in the beautification of the area surrounding the Freddie Solomon Center.  It is times like this that bring true transformation and a renewing spirit that crime, garbage, and poor quality of life should not be accepted or expected in any community. CIS was proud to be a part of this clean up effort and strive to participate in events like this to truly make a critical difference.
Being a Productive Property Manager
Submitted by: Elizabeth Greer, Esq., In-House Counsel

Does your to-do list look something like this?

  • The pool should not be that color, contact maintenance staff
  • Mediate a disagreement between two staff members
  • Think of a new promotional idea
  • Call the board about the problem with trash overflow and code violations
  • We are due for an inspection, let the staff know it's all hands on deck
  • Console resident in 1027, she lost a pet
  • Start the eviction process in 942
  • It's time to test the fire alarms
  • Another burglary???
  • Notice residents about leash laws and fines, dogs are running loose
  • The books, the books, the books...

And as soon as you cross one thing off that list, two new things come up?  If so, you must be a property manager.  You know, the multitasking promoter/host/handyman/bookkeeper/counselor problem solving go-between for everybody associated with the property you manage that needs attention 24/7?  Property managers have demanding jobs.  You juggle a slew of responsibilities and deal with problems that vary greatly from day-to-day and week-to-week.  And, of course, while everything that goes wrong is not your fault, it certainly is your problem.

  • Not Your Average Camera Monitoring Services
CIS has expanded the range of services to include full service camera monitoring, which we now provide throughout the state of Florida!  We optimize this service by combining the use of state-of-the-art 24 hour Operations Center with unique, two-way communications technology and the expertise of our highly trained, licensed CIS Protection Officers.  CIS Camera Monitoring Officers stand constant watch over your property and immediately contact law enforcement or CIS officers in the field when suspicious or unwanted activity occurs.  Not only can our officers see what is taking place on your property, they can actually verbally communicate with individuals of interest via our two-way communications feature.  This technology results in much more than the ability to record an event, it creates the crucial opportunity for preventative interaction offering yet another layer of protection that can significantly help reduce unwanted activity and mitigate your liability.  For more information, please contact Jeff Ezell, VP of Operations, at jeff.ezell@kkpsecuritygroup.com or (407) 408-6431

HERE IS HOW IT WORKS: Once per quarter, a service technician will arrive and clean all cameras and equipment, reposition each camera that is needed, refocus all cameras that are needed, provide updates and service to your DVR and ensure the system is 100% operable. This service includes all four services trips and covers any and all trip or service charges.
