John is a CIS associate consultant specializing in crime prevention for urban communities and multi-family housing. J.R. has more than 30 years of experience in Premise Liability, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), Problem Oriented Policing, Risk Management, and Workplace Violence.

In addition to his focus on community crime prevention, J.R. has assisted a diverse range of corporations in addressing concerns about safety, security, and workplace violence. John has also conducted security evaluations and audits of corporate offices and campuses, and industrial plants to assist in the development of security strategies. In addition to his work as a consultant, John is a veteran expert witness and has provided analysis and testimony in over 300 cases across the United States.

John’s certifications include Florida Crime Prevention Practitioner (FCP), Crime Prevention Specialist (CPS), and Specialist in Advanced Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). Mr. Roberts was also appointed by the Mayor of Savannah, GA to serve on the Public Safety Task Force between 2005-2011, and was appointed by the Atlanta City Council and Mayor as Chair of the Crime Safety Awareness Committee prior to and in anticipation of the 1996 Olympic Games.
